TheMongolz have pulled out of eXTREMESLAND Asia Finals, which is set to commence a week before the upcoming Asia Minor, due to visa issues for the Korean event and IEM Oakland.
The MongolZ reigned supreme over their fellow countrymen KhARUM in the Mongolia qualifier's grand final for eXTREMESLAND in August. Despite being one of the first few teams to secure their spot to the Chinese tournament, visa matters — for the Asia Minor and IEM Oakland — have once again plagued Enkhtaivan "Machinegun" Lkhagva's crew.
HLTV.org has learned that the The MongolZ have a visa appointment with the US embassy in Mongolia on October 16, which causes a schedule conflict with eXTREMESLAND as they are expected to arrive in China by then.
Meanwhile, in a recent tweet, the organization revealed it will take "at least fifteen working days" for Temuulen "Zilkenberg" Battulga and company to obtain their Korean visa, ahead of the Asia Minor.
Therefore, The MongolZ have decided to withdraw from the $100,000 event after declining their invitation to the ROG MASTERS APAC qualifiers too. The eXTREMESLAND organizers have confirmed that KhARUM will replace them.
The updated team list for eXTREMESLAND 2017 in Shanghai, China is as follows:
